Best 3D Mouse for Rhino

Best mouse for Rhino 3D

What is the best mouse for Rhino?

Rhino users spin, pan and zoom constantly, whether it's organic surfaces, jewellery, architecture or product design. A SpaceMouse in your left hand handles the view in one smooth motion while your right hand draws curves and picks surfaces.

Rhino supports 3Dconnexion devices natively, so any SpaceMouse works as a Rhino 3D mouse once the free driver is installed.

Setting up your Rhino 3D mouse

  2. Plug in your SpaceMouse, or pair it over Bluetooth.
  3. Open Rhino. It detects the device automatically, and you can assign your favourite commands to the buttons.

Common questions

Do I still need a regular mouse?
Yes. The 3D mouse moves the view, and your regular mouse or CadMouse draws and selects. That two-handed setup is where the speed comes from.
